A UNIX-LINUX System Administration course will be held at the K. Pintar Training Centre in Wisma Goshen in Plaza Pantai from Nov 25 to Dec 15.

The course, which is free, is supported by Multimedia Development Corporation (MDEC) and the Human Reources Ministry, and will train people and place them into areas that are suitable.

Human Resources training company K. Pintar managing director R. A Thiaraja said the course was for fresh graduates, retrenched and K-workers in the Information Technology and Engineering field.

For registration: Thiagaraja with the forms for the course.

“After the course, these students will have hands-on training. Eventually, these students will be trained and placed to fill vacancies in MSC status companies.

“This is a specialised course and requires people to have a diploma, degree or experience. If a person enrols in this course in a university or college, it will cost them RM10,000.

“We hope those interested will apply soon as there are only 50 seats available,’’ he said.

In the course, the students will be taught red hat linux essentials, red hat linux administration and shell programming.

Students will be provided accommodation.
