MORE than 500 people of all races joined in the Bukit Lanjan: Leading the Change fundraising dinner at the BU3 community hall car park in Bandar Utama, Petaling Jaya.
Bukit Lanjan assemblyman Elizabeth Wong thanked those who supported her and she said the funds would go towards setting up more service centres in her constituency.
Selangor Mentri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim launched the event.
Starting off the event was Malaysian guzheng soloist Chiam Wai Sum, who entertained guests with the beautiful sounds of the Chinese zither.
The drum group from SRJK Salak Selatan then wowed the audience with an upbeat performance on the Chinese drums.
The BU4 Girls also put up a hip hop performance while the Bukit Lanjan dancers performed a line dance.
Among those who attended the event and delivered speeches were Selangor Speaker Teng Chang Kim, Shah Alam MP Khalid Abdul Samad, Subang MP Sivarasa Rasiah, Selayang MP William Leong and Batu MP Tian Chua.
