Asia Sports Seminar begins on Monday

Roy: The seminar promises to be a successful one

ASIAN Football Confederation (AFC) president Mohamed Hammam will be among the prominent speakers at the Asia Sports Seminar at the Berjaya Times Square Hotel and Convention Centre in Kuala Lumpur on Monday.

Besides Mohamad, the other speakers at the three-day seminar, organised by the Olympic Council of Malaysia (OCM) and Wharf House, are Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz, Sports Commissioner Datuk Nik Mahmud Nik Yuosf, ESPN Star Sports managing director Manu Sawhney, Indian Premier League COO Sundar Raman, FIFA TV division director Niclas Ericson and Asian Tour TV and Commercial Affairs senior director Eric Lynge.

Organising chairman Datuk Roy Rajasingham, who is also the OCM vice-president, said the partnership between OCM and Wharf House was the first of its kind.

“The seminar promises to be a successful one. Sports personalities, legal practitioners and others involved in the sports industry will find the seminar beneficial,’’ said Roy.
