MORE than 300 needy children have had their wishes granted through the Grant A Wish On Children’s Day 2009 campaign organised by Rainbow of Life Forces (ROLF).
The gifts were presented to the children’s homes between Oct 24 and Nov 8.
ROLF founder Adelyn Lim said the gifts included MP3s, clothes, shoes, schoolbooks and toys.
StarMetro in a story headlined “Grant a wish campaign” on Sept 11 had reported that eight homes and centres had been selected for the campaign.
They are Kirtarsh Care Centre for Disabled Children in Rawang, Women and Health Organisation (WAKE) in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor Klang Disabled Children’s Care Association, Taman Megah Disabled and Handicap Children’s Home in Petaling Jaya, Kajang Special Children Association, Penang Cheshire Home, Perak State Welfare Home for Disabled Children and Happiness Centre for the Mentally Disabled Children in Malacca.
According to information provided by organisers, Rainbow of life Forces or ROLF is a seven-year Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Campaign which is initiated to give hope to all children regardless of race, religion, background and nationality.
ROLF, like rainbow, brings nations together in mutually supportive relationships when it comes to enhancing the quality of life for children, particularly in mitigating pain and suffering of the young.
ROLF is neither an organisation nor foundation. It’s a non-profit campaigning vehicle that facilitates legitimate organisations whenever they have legitimate activities.
ROLF consists of seven campaigns. They are Blue Ribbon Campaign, followed by Orange, Red, Yellow, Green, Indigo and Purple.
Each of the campaigns is formed to support and help children in different areas.
