KUALA LUMPUR: A motorcyclist died and another one was seriously injured after they were knocked down by a motorist who lost control of her car while chasing after a man who had grabbed her handbag.
The incident occurred at about 10am yesterday when the robber smashed the woman’s car window and grabbed her handbag.
The woman then started chasing after the robber, who was also on a motorcyle, but lost control of her car and knocked into two motorcyclists in Jalan Puchong.
According to sources, the deceased has been identified as Tang Kim Lai (pic), 39, from Dengkil.
The injured man was rushed to the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre.
It is learnt that the woman, who suffered minor injuries, was admitted to the Subang Jaya Medical Centre and was discharged later.
The police, however, refused to comment and said they were looking for the woman to assist in their investigation.
