KLANG: An aide to Selangor executive councillor Ronnie Liu has been summoned to the police commercial crimes office for questioning.
Chong Eng Hock arrived for questioning at about 10.45am yesterday with a special aide to Selangor exco member Teresa Kok.
He was served with the notice of summons at about 8pm on Tuesday.
Speaking to reporters after about three hours of questioning, Chong said the police wanted him to help in their investigations into allegations made by Wangsa Maju MP Wee Choo Keong that an exco member’s office was being used as a meeting point for the underworld.
“We are giving our co-operation as we have nothing to hide,” he added. Chong said he was supposed to give his statement on Monday but it was postponed as he was not well.
He said the interview went smoothly although he was not accompanied by a lawyer.
“The police officers even assured me before the interview began that my security and safety were their priority,” he added.
Wee had lodged a police report against an exco member in August alleging that the office was being used as a meeting point for the underworld.
It was reported that Bukit Aman officers had seized a log book from Liu as part of their investigations into the allegation.
