Resort to host party for orphans during annual tourney

THE Tropicana Golf and Country Resort will host the fourth edition of the GolfUnite charity golf championships on Dec 8.

And as a social gesture, the resort will also organise a party for about 40 children from three orphanages — Pertubuhan Penyayang Raudhah, Home of the Angels and Stepping Stone Home. The children will be given the chance enjoy themselves at the resort’s bowling alley and swimming pool.

Golf Unite co-founder Datuk Dina Rizal said they were pleased with the resort’s commitment towards bringing some cheer to the underprivileged children.

“We are hoping to raise about RM15,000 from the championships. The amount raised will be distributed to the three orphanages,’’ said Dina.

GolfUnite was initiated in November last year. Since then, about RM57,800 has been raised from three previous championships and distributed to 11 homes.
