PETALING JAYA: PKR is full of “rubber stamp” leaders as only three in the party call the shots, Malaysian Indian United Party president Datuk K.S. Nallakarupan said.
He said it was no surprise that PKR was tagged as a party that runs on a “3A battery” as only party president Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, adviser Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and vice-president Azmin Ali held the reigns.
“Decisions in the party are made in the best interest of the 3As. The Sabah PKR fiasco and subsequent remedial measures give an insight into how the 3As pursue their personal agenda and interests while covering up for each other,’’ he said in response to the recent fiasco in Sabah that forced Dr Wan Azizah to drop Azmin as Sabah PKR liaison chief. However, Azmin was appointed the party’s Federal Territory chief.
“What Azmin wants, Azmin gets. It is a known fact among Anwar’s inner circle since his days in government that Azmin enjoys very special attention and care from Anwar.
Nallakarupan said Dr Wan Azizah hid a lot of secrets for the sake of her political ambition to be “first lady.”
“She will close an eye. Sometimes she closes both eyes. She will support her husband Datuk Seri Anwar notwithstanding anything as long as she gets to be the first lady,’’ said Nallakarupan, who was once closely associated with Anwar.
