MIRI: An oil mill manager was found bludgeoned and stabbed to death inside the compound of a plantation office not far from the Bakun hydro-electric dam project site in Belaga district, central Sarawak.
The body of the 34-year-old senior executive a plantation company was discovered in his quarters inside the plantation office compound on Friday.
Police from Bintulu went to the scene , located some 80kms away along the Bintulu-Bakun road,after receiving a call from the plantation office.
“The manager was found dead with injuries all over his body, including his head and abdomen.
“Some workers from his office had discovered his body after they went to check on him,” Bintulu OCPD Supt Sulaiman Abdul Razak said.
“He had been staying alone in the house. His workers had repeatedly called him on his handphone, but he did not answer.
“They then went to his house and found his body. We are investigating all possibilities and have classified the case as murder,’’ he said.
Supt Sulaiman added that police found that the house was ransacked and several personal items missing.
