THE command ship of the United States Seventh Fleet, the 39-year-old USS Blue Ridge, arrived at the Star Cruises Terminal in Port Klang yesterday for a friendly two-day visit.

This is not the first time the command ship has paid a call on Malaysian shores and its last visit was in March of 2007.
Prior to that visit, sailors from the USS Blue Ridge had played friendly volleyball and football matches with Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) personnel in 2006.
On that occasion, RMN did Malaysia proud by winning the football match 3-1.
