Safari fun in the Rainforest

What say you on the issue below?

ABOUT 200 children dressed in colourful costumes turned up at 1 Utama Shopping Centre in Petaling Jaya over a recent weekend to join the fun in conjunction with the launch of pharmacy chain Guardian’s Big Headz Safari collection.

The collection features eight plush safari animals which emphasise on the characters’ large heads — hence the name Big Headz — that are Guardian’s latest redemption programme, after the recent Paddington Bear collection.

Artistic endeavour: Participants busy working on their art pieces during the colouring contest.

“Our redemption programmes have been extremely successful in the past and we are all very excited about our new product, the Big Headz Safari collection, as it is the first of its series and is available only in Guardian,” said Guardian chief operating officer Loi Liang Tok.

Loi added that similar Big Headz plush toys had been a success in other countries, where they were sold out even before the promotion ended.

The toys are available for redemption at all Guardian stores nationwide. Customers need only collect 40 stamps to redeem a toy for free, or collect 20 stamps and purchase the toy at RM18.90.

A stamp is awarded for every RM15 spent at Guardian in a single receipt.

In the spirit of Hari Raya, Guardian also invited children from Rumah Kasih Harmoni to join in the fun of the activities and games.

The orphans each received a Big Headz plush toy and a bag of goodies from Guardian, while Giant gift vouchers worth RM2,000 were donated to the home in the hope of providing for daily essential needs of the children.

Those who were present were treated to sweet delights such as ice cream, cotton candy, cupcakes and pop corn at the Rainforest area of the mall.

Some of the children, who had come dressed in various animal costumes, then took part in the costume parade while others gathered for the colouring contest.
