Three kolam — The Light of Happiness, Glorious Spark and The Flight of Enlightenment — can be found at the Pavilion KL’s Bukit Bintang main entrance (interior and exterior) and the Spanish Steps.

Touted as Malaysia’s first crystallised 3-D Kolam, the kolam project was designed by 200 international students from over 140 countries and jointly put together by 10 embassies over three days.

Creative: The Glorious Spark is one of the creations on display.

In his speech, Urusharta Cemerlang Sdn Bhd chairman Tan Sri Zainol Mahmood said the joint celebration of festivals had brought Malaysians and visitors closer together as a united nation.

Tourism Malaysia director-general Datuk Mirza Mohammad Taiyab expressed his appreciation to Pavilion KL on behalf of the Tourism Ministry and Tourism Malaysia for bringing the celebration to a higher level.

“They have not only taken kolam-making and Deepavali celebrations to an international level; their creative thinking in the making of the first ever 3D-kolam with crystallised elements from Swarovski, will definitely set it apart from the rest,” he said.

Foreign dignitaries from Austria, France, Italy, Japan, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Turkey, United States attended the launch.
