Malaysia Tatler's glitzy anniversary bash

What say you on the issue below?

THERE were no fireworks as Malaysia Tatler’s 20th anniversary ball was held in the confines of Shangri-la’s Grand Ballroom but there were fiery sparks aplenty as the Malaysian elite arrived laden with diamonds, rubies, emeralds and sapphires.

A casual observer from another planet would never realise a global crunch was in full swing as ladies glittered unabashedly in multi-carats and designer gowns while men lorded the scene in black tie.

Over 500 members of royalty, corporate leaders, entrepreneurs and socialites came to enjoy the evening.

Malaysia Tatler managing director Florence Fang said: “In our 20 years, we had good times and tough times, but we have persevered and triumphed.

“I had to deal with tough clients in the early days who are now my friends.
