KUANTAN: The Kuantan MCA Youth division will stand by any decision made by its division chief pertaining to current developments in the party.

Its chief Andy Chiew said they supported the views and points made by division head Datuk Ti Lian Ker and urged for effective steps be taken to ensure that the party remained united.

Chiew said this in response to a news report on Tuesday about Pahang MCA top leaders rallying behind their chief Datuk Hoh Khai Mun after it was speculated that he would be replaced.

“We are hoping that the crisis will be over as soon as possible as the grassroots simply want all this to end. It is also the wishes of the Chinese community as they want a strong political party that will be able to serve their interests and wellbeing,” he said yesterday.

Chiew, who is also the state deputy Youth chief, clarified that he was not a member of the MCA state liaison committee and had no right to be in the meeting that was called last week to discuss support for Hoh to remain as state liaison chief.
