Gift of clean water for home

What say you on the issue below?

THE children at Rumah Bakti had a glorious day with the presence of two local celebrities and E-Dr Pipe Sales & Services Sdn Bhd (E-Dr.Pipe).

As part of efforts to help Rumah Bakti maintain its clean water supply, E-Dr Pipe treated the home to a free pipe wash. Celebrities Amber Chia and Syafinaz also took time off to have lunch with the children.

E-Dr Pipe, the organiser, is a newly-established pipe cleaning service in Malaysia.

It washes pipes with eco-friendly equipment that only uses high pressurised air to remove particles from inside the pipes.

E-Dr Pipe chose to clean the pipes of Rumah Bakti because its occupants are children who need and deserve to have clean water.

Scary sight: The children holding up cups of the dirty water flushed out of the pipes.

The Home was built in 1976 and minor renovations have been done since but the pipes have never been cleaned.

Chia and Syafinaz were a hit with the children during lunch, as they mingled and helped serve lunch.

There was also an interactive session where Amber and Shafinaz gathered the children around and asked them questions on why water was essential.

The most interesting part of the day was when E-Dr Pipe used its equipment to demonstrate how the pipes were cleaned while the children looked on in amusement.

And when the murky, brown coloured water was trickling out of the tap, the look on everyone’s face was priceless.

To add more cheer to the children, E-Dr Pipe also donated RM5,000 to the home for its daily needs.

E-Dr Pipe’s CEO Melvin Lam presented a cheque to the home’s manager, Jaafar Johar.
