KUANTAN: A new Chevrolet sales, services and spare parts (3S) centre has opened its doors here.
Naza Quest Sdn Bhd chief operating officer Datuk Maruan Mohd Said, who officiated the opening ceremony, said the centre operated by Golden Crew Sdn Bhd would cater to the increasing number of Chevrolet customers in the east coast.
“The centre will provide service to owners of new models and existing Chevrolet users as well. Since it was first launched in Malaysia, 16,000 Chevrolets have been bought,” said Maruan.
“The owners of older models must not be neglected and the best service will also be made available to them to maintain their confidence in the Chevrolet brand,” he added.
Maruan said that 3S centres would be expanded to take advantage of the large market in the east coast.
“Our strategy is to reach out in places with an active market first. We are focusing on establishing another centre in Terengganu before opening in other big cities,” he said.
Also present were Road Transport Department (RTD) deputy director general Datuk Ismail Ahmad, Pahang RTD director Datuk Zakaria Man and Chevrolet Malaysia director Ki Ti Cai Ja Rus Roj Poka.
Golden Crew managing director Amadaldin Hamzah said the RM1mil 3S facility, fully manned by mechanics and technicians trained by Chevrolet, features a showroom, six service bays with the ability to cater to 450 cars per month, and a parts centre.
In terms of parts availability Golden Crew is aiming for 90% parts availability rate that will cater for all Chevrolet owners in the east coast, he said.
