IF YOU are looking for a product to reduce your waistline, here is your chance. Wyann International (M) Sdn Bhd is giving away freebies in the form of slimming vouchers for participants of PJ Half Marathon 2011.
Its chief marketing officer Danny Hoh said this was part of the company’s efforts in promoting a healthy lifestyle.
“It is all about promoting a healty living and we are just doing our bit for the community.
“The fact that people are participating in marathons and walks means that they are very conscious about their health and wellbeing,” said Hoh.
He said a total of 10,000 vouchers worth RM280 each will be given to participants. The vouchers are redeemable at all Wyann International outlets in the Klang Valley.
Runners will also be able to indulge in Ngan Yin Groundnuts during the arace.
Ngan Yin Groundnut Factory Sdn Bhd general manager Kong Beng Kuin said 6,000 packets of groundnuts would be made available to participants of this year’s marathon.
“We have been an ardent supporter of Ipoh Starwalk all these years and until recently, we extended our sponsorship to the Penang Starwalk.
“The PJ Half Marathon is the second event organised by The Star outside of Ipoh that we are sponsoring,” he said.
Noting that the Klang Valley was very vibrant with many sporting events taking place there, Kong said Ngan Yin wanted to be a part of events that promoted healthy living.
The PJ Half Marathon, which will be flagged off at the Petaling Jaya Stadium in Kelana Jaya, is organised by The Star, Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) and the Selangor Amateur Athletics Association.
