Fun-filled day for children

SNF Foundation Malaysia organised a Light of Unity II fundraiser gala nite and carnival recently.

The carnival was held at Carrefour Bukit Rimau, Shah Alam.

Carrefour was the venue sponsor and provided goodie bags for all the kids. A total of 100 underprivileged children including those from various orphanages around Kuala Lumpur and Selangor started arriving at about 9.30am.

Old is gold: The vintage cars on display.

Their transportation was arranged by the Information, Communication and Culture Ministry. Guests and the children were treated to food and Ais Krim Goreng sponsored by Jumbo Caterers.

The kids were also taken on a ride in vintage cars courtesy of Royal Malaysia Vintage and Classic Car.

The Selangor Fire and Rescue Department was on hand to provide fire and safety guidance to the kids.

The highlight of the carnival was a performance by Battery Headz’s 15-piece band performance. Clown mingling, face painting and games were also part of the activities.

Songstress Francissca Peters made an appearance at the carnival and joined the kids with their activities. SNF Foundation members, volunteer’s and the public also donated blood at the mobile bus provided bythe National Blood Centre.
