IPOH-based BP Clinical Lab Sdn Bhd is welcoming its 30th anniversary with good news after being awarded the Joint Commission International (JCI) certification.
BP Healthcare Group investment and finance director Chevy Beh said the company was ecstatic over the achievement after edging out other companies from Singapore, the Philippines and Hong Kong to gain the award in the clinical laboratory category.
“This is a wonderful achievement for the company as it means that we are being recognised internationally,” he told MetroPerak, adding that there were about 60 centres in the world which had received the JCI certification.
BP Healthcare Group was also among 18 companies awarded with the National Mark of Malaysian Brand at the Brand Entrepreneurs Conference 2011 recently.
The award was handed over to it by the Raja Muda of Perak Raja Dr Nazrin Shah at the Palace of the Golden Horses.
“The award is a great incentive for the company to strive harder to provide quality services to the people.
“Currently, we have about 50 clinical laboratories and 40 diagnostic centres in the country.
“We will be celebrating our 30th anniversary next year and we hope to set up 100 diagnostic centres in the country within the next three years,” he said.
