Fragrance brand opens its second standalone boutique in the heart of KL

Meaningful gift: A model holding the Petite Cherie, the fragrance that Annick Goutal created as a present to her daughter.

ANNICK Goutal launched its second boutique in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur in a grand affair.

Located on Level 2, the standalone boutique with French-inspired decor has high glass panels and gold arches giving it a regal feel.

Asplanade Avenue managing director Ken Lim said it was the right time to open a second boutique, after receiving encouraging response from its first flagship boutique in Bangsar Shopping Centre that was opened in August 2009.

“The counters are an artful combination of cream, gold and clear shades, which were designed with the intent of easy elegance and quiet luxury,” he said at the launch.

The 250sq ft boutique houses all of its 36 pure botanical ranges — 26 for women and 10 for men.

Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin’s wife Puan Sri Noorainee Abdul Rahman was the guest of honour.

Taking a whiff: Noorainee (middle) trying the scents in the newly-opened boutique, accompanied by Lim.

Annick Goutal fragrances, famous for its ribbed glass bottles, are reflections of memories, passions and emotions felt by their creators: firstly Annick Goutal herself, then later her daughters Camille and Isabelle Doyen.
