Hospital marks second year it is supporting children’s home

KPJ Ampang Puteri Specialist Hospital celebrated the second anniversary of Pusat Anak Permata Negara (PAPN) in Dengkil recently, much to the delight of all the 22 children and their parents.

The centre, which provides care to underprivileged children, is now adopted by KPJ APSH, as part of the Program Anak Angkat Permata initiated by the Prime Minister’s wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor.

“We received an invitation from Rosmah encouraging us to adopt any Permata centre in Malaysia so that we can provide medical care to these children.

“Without any hesitation, we agreed. We visited this centre and decided to adopt it as soon as we arrived.

“This celebration is to announce that KPJ APSH and Permata Dengkil are a family,” said KPJ APSH general manager Noor Haslina Harun.

Noor Haslina said that the hospital had planned events for 2012 for the centre and these include health checks, health talks and campaigns as well as monthly visits to the centre by KPJ APSH’s team.

The celebration started off with a cake-cutting ceremony followed by an entertainment section with a clown and ended with goodie bags giveaway. Sponsors for the day day included KFC, Karangkraf, Nestle, Pureen and Pelikan.
