Da Ma Cai brings Christmas joy to Rumah Kanak-Kanak Angels

What say you on the issue below?

NOT everyone gets to spend Christmas surrounded by family and friends.

In recognition of this, every year volunteers from Da Ma Cai choose to spread Christmas cheer to the needy through its own Staff-In-The-Community programme.

This Christmas, children from Rumah Kanak-kanak Angels in Taman Overseas Union, Kuala Lumpur had the time of their lives when Da Ma Cai paid them a visit with Christmas gifts and brought them out for a movie outing and a lunch treat.

The children welcomed the volunteers into their home with warm smiles and embraces.

The volunteers got the party going bringing all the children to watch Alvin and the Chipmunks 3, setting the mood for a good time.

The children laughed throughout the movie as they watched their favourite characters’ antics.

After a morning of activities, the children were treated to a sumptuous Christmas lunch. It was a great opportunity for the staff and children to form a stronger bond as they got to know one another better.

The merriment ended with the children receiving their Christmas gifts — each chosen from the wish list given to them in advance.

The children’s reactions upon receiving their gifts were priceless. They were thrilled when Santa Claus dropped by to entertain them.

Da Ma Cai also donated groceries worth RM2,000 to the home.

The groceries were presented to Belinda Chew, guardian of Rumah Kanak-kanak Angels.

As the volunteers waved goodbye to their guests to the shouts of “Merry Christmas” from the happy children, it was clear that objective was achieved.
