What say you on the issue below?

YULETIDE joy is being served up this season at Sunway Hotel George Town.

The hotel in Penang is offering a spread of sumptuous delights at its Christmas Eve Buffet Dinner.

Diners can whet their appetite by paying the cold cuts section a visit.

Festive favourite: Oven Roasted Traditional Turkey with Giblet Gravy and Cranberry accompanied with Chestnut and Mushroom Stuffing.

Salmon lovers will definitely rejoice at the sight of the Tasmanian Smoked Salmon Platter which is the star of the section.

The salmon, made into a mousse-like form, was a whole different kind tasting experience compared to the usual salmon fillet. The salmon dish also comes with fresh shrimp.

Those who want to start off light can go for garden salads with a variety of condiments and dressings.

Moving on, diners can dive into the creamy Roasted Pumpkin and Sweet Potato with Lemon grass Pesto Soup.

To go with the soup is a selection of fresh homemade bread.

Turkeys are a feature at every Christmas dinner and the one at Sunway is no different.

The hotel’s marketing and communications manager Siti Fatimah Packeer Mohd said the menu was more elaborate this year compared to previous years.

“We are adding a little bit more local tastes by doing some fusion dishes this year to cater for our local customers,” she said.

Among the localised and fusion dish is the Oven Baked Striploin Beef with Masala Paste.

The addition of the masala paste in the dish gives it a hint of spiciness that will be ideal for diners who like a little ‘heat’ on their tastebuds.

Diners can flock to the new station called the Action Stall where they can place orders for Stirfried Mongolian Chicken and Vegetables.

They will have the opportunity to choose from among 10 types of fresh vegetables to be stir-fried with chicken slices and mongolian sauce.

To round up the evening, head for the desserts section which is one of the hotel’s speciality.

Among the tempting items are the Christmas Yule Log, Blueberry Cheese Cake and Miniature French Pastries.

The buffet is priced at RM55 nett for adults and RM27.50 nett for children.
