JOHOR BARU: Christmas has always been the most favourite holiday for Susan Chan, 12, as this has always been the time where she and the other members of her home were often invited by hotels for special treats.

“It is always exciting to attend such parties as we rarely have such experiences,” said Chan who is from the Calvary Home in Bukit Indah here.

Chan was part of a group of 38 children who were treated to a special Christmas Party organised by Pariss Hotel hererecently.

For 12-year-old Noah Pang, just hearing that the home was being invited to a special Christmas Party was a present in itself.

“I was so excited and all of us have been talking about how much fun that we will have,” he said adding that he loved the balloons and were thankful for the stationary donated by the hotel.

Pariss hotel manager M. Saseekumar said that holding a Christmas party for children from homes was something that the hotel did every year.

“It is our way to spread Christmas joy to the less fortunate,” he said.

Meanwhile, Pulai Springs Resort also held a similar event recently and hosted 19 underprivileged children from Berkat Children’s Home to a special fun fair and high-tea treat.

The children were spoilt with a special Christmas buffet and even delighted in a special appearance by Santa Claus and Santarina.
