FUNDS raised from a charity climb up Mount Kinabalu organised by strategic financial adviser company, McMillan Woods, was distributed to eight beneficiaries recently.

The Oct 10 expedition, themed “Climb for Charity”, collected over RM100,000. It saw the participation of 50 climbers comprising the company staff and members of sponsor organisations.

McMillan Woods president Datuk Raymond Liew said the programme provided an opportunity for the firm’s members worldwide to come together while giving back to society.

“At McMillan Woods we hope this is the beginning for many more corporate initiatives to help the less unfortunate.

“We hope other corporate players, be they Malaysian or international, will share this sentiment in extending their financial assistance,” he said at the dinner event.
