Roslin’s ex-wife: RM53,460 claim ridiculous

What say you on the issue below?

NATIONAL shuttler Muhammad Roslin Hashim’s RM53,460 claim of losses from his marriage that lasted only 12 days “is ridiculous and undignified”, his former wife Faezah Mohamad said.

Kosmo! reported Faezah, 32, as saying that the claims were for the dowry, the kenduri and transportation and accommodation for Roslin’s family throughout the ceremony in Kelantan.

Faezah, through her lawyer Mohammad Amir Nazli Hussin, applied to Kuala Lumpur Syariah High Court registrar Nurul Wazeera Ahmad Dahalan on Wednesday for an early hearing on her submission of defence against the claim.

The court fixed Nov 20 to hear her submission.

It also ordered Roslin, 34, to file his answer to Faezah’s submission within 14 days and has fixed Dec 11 for his side.

In a report by Harian Metro, Rolando, 61, from Lima, was arrested by two undercover detectives in a shopping mall in Lebuh Ampang, Kuala Lumpur, when he was caught red-handed stealing a shopper’s bag around noon on Wednesday.

The suspect, who called himself “grandfather goblin”, was first seen loitering suspiciously observing potential victims.

“The suspect tried to run away but we managed to catch him,” said one of the detectives who only wished to be known as Amir.

It is understood that the suspect was also involved in snatch theft cases in five-star hotels and public areas.
