UOA Group, a property group in Malaysia and developer of Bangsar South, hosted a corporate social responsibility programme in conjunction with its Hari Raya Open House in Bangsar South.

A group of 30 children from Rumah Darul Kifayah and 100 senior citizens registered under the Social Welfare Department joined in the Hari Raya open house along with about 50 representatives from the Bukit Kerinchi community.

UOA Group property director of Cecelia Chan said the event aimed to promote the spirit of neighbourliness and cooperation among the Bangsar South corporate and local community.

The event was jointly organised by UOA Group and current tenants of Bangsar South namely F-Secure, TIME Engineering Berhad (TIME) and Dagang Net Technologies Sdn Bhd.

Let the festivities begin: Froiland (centre) launching balloons which represent the colours of Bangsar South’s logo at the start of the event. With him are (from left) DagangNet Technologies Sdn Bhd head of technology Siti Rohana Mohamed Amin, Time Engineering Bhd corporate services head Zulina Mohammed Salleh, KL Social Welfare Department director Noormah Datuk Abdul Rauf and UOA Group property director Cecelia Chan.

The guests feasted on popular Hari Raya fare such as lemang with rendang, roti jala and sirap limau while being entertained with festive Raya songs.

The young guests also received duit raya courtesy of TIME while Rumah Darul Kifayah received a RM10,000 donation from the UOA Group.

“We are happy to be able to celebrate Hari Raya with the local community in Kerinchi as well as our special guests,” said chief executive officer of TIME Steven Lim.

TIME and subsidiary company Dagang Net Technologies Sdn Bhd are among pioneer tenants of Bangsar South.

“As a partner in nation building specialising in providing IT infrastructure, this is part of our continuous efforts in giving back to the community,” Lim said.

For F-Secure’s director and general manager Ingvar Froiland, the event is in line with the company’s aspiration to contribute more to the society as Malaysia has been home to its Asia Pacific headquarters since 2006.

“Bangsar South will be home to us for a long time,” said Froiland.
