DO your bit for charity as well as for the environment by buying a water tumbler from any Clarins counter starting from Nov 1 until Dec 31.
All proceeds from the sale of the RM12 tumblers that feature a specially designed nature motif with animals will help provide underprivileged children with tools to complement their education.
“We believe that all children should be given the chance to reach their full potential. The greatest gift we can give them is a chance to learn by which they can better themselves and eventually contribute back to society in the future,” Clarins Malaysia general manager Tan Seong Teck said.
He said that the proceeds from the tumbler sales would be used to buy educational tools such as computers, reference books, dictionaries and other essential things based on the requirements of each home.
In its eleventh year now, the Clarins We Care Charity hopes to raise RM30,000 this year for Agathians Shelter, Persatuan Anak-anak Yatim dan Ibu Tunggal Kg Medan, Rumah Kebajikan Kanak-kanak Rhema and Vinashini Home.
Tan said the tumblers served two main objectives, to raise funds for the homes as well as stressing on the importance of Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.
“Each plastic bottle takes up to one million years to decompose, so by reducing its use, we can save our natural resources and energy,” Tan said.
He added that the campaign was also meant to instil the knowledge of nature conservation that would work towards a sustainable future for the younger generation.
Celebrities such as Daphne Iking, Dayang Nurfaizah, Jojo Struys, Sheahnee and Jia Hui were also present at the launch of the campaign to lend their support to the cause.
