Cashless delivery for pizza lovers

What say you on the issue below?

PIZZA Hut Malaysia, in collaboration with Maybank, rolled out its new Delivery Service with Wireless Credit/Debit Card Payment Facility nationwide recently, becoming the first restaurant chain in the country to offer the facility to its customers.

According to the Malaysia Book of Records, this is also the first pizza delivery service with wireless credit/debit card payment facility in the country.

Pizza Hut is working together with Maybank to facilitate this new payment system which uses wireless terminals.

Customers now have an alternative payment choice when paying for the deliveries and the new service is available at all Pizza Hut delivery restaurants.

“More and more people, especially young working adults, use credit or debit cards these days, so this new service means greater convenience for them,” QSR Brands Bhd managing director Jamaludin Md Ali said.

“Now, they just have to call our delivery call centre, place their order and tell us that they will be making payment by credit or debit card.

“This service offers even greater choices and convenience to our customers, which we know they will appreciate,” he said.

“We accept all credit or debit cards but Maybank and American Express card holders get to enjoy certain rewards and privileges, such as participating in the Spend, Eat & Win contest we are conducting in conjunction with the launch of this new payment service,” he said.

Meanwhile, Maybank Head of Cards B Ravintharan said the launch had set a benchmark that would revolutionise payment for the delivery service industry.

“This wireless payment facility reflects Maybank’s strategy to leverage on technology to offer a seamless experience and hassle-free convenience to customers,” Ravintharan said.

He added that this latest service continued Maybank’s leadership in cashless payment.

Maybank offers the largest range of cashless payments options from phone banking to ATM, Internet and mobile communications.

It also has the largest customer base of 8.3 million card holders who are shifting to cashless transactions.

The Spend, Eat & Win contest is open to all Maybank card holders and the contest ends on Dec 31.

For every RM30 spent using the new payment facility, customers will qualify for one contest entry and the more they spend, the more entries they get.

Ten winners each month will each get a monthly prize of RM500 shopping vouchers and RM200 Pizza Hut vouchers.

Ten grand prize winners will each receive a HP Netbook, RM500 shopping vouchers and RM200 Pizza Hut vouchers.

To celebrate the launch, Pizza Hut has also come up with two exciting new variants of its popular chicken wings.
