SHAH ALAM: A demonstration on crime prevention ended up in a minor accident at the opening of the latest community police station in Shah Alam.
The accident happened when “a police patrol car” which was supposed to block “a getaway car” during a staged robbery en-ded up crashing head-on yesterday.
There were collective “oohs” and “aahs” from the spectators and comments of how good the demonstration was, until the master of ceremony explained that it was a real accident.
However, no one was injured in the incident.
State police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Khalid Abu Bakar, who opened the station, said eight policemen would be manning the station.
DCP Khalid said the station would cover the areas in U9, U10, U14 and U15 whose combined population exceeded 5,000.
