Dr M: Don’t respond or retaliate

What say you on the issue below?

PETALING JAYA: Malaysians should try not to respond to or retaliate against Indonesians over the recent issues between the two nations, urged Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

“It is only a small group that has been trying to create tension between us,” he said. “The Indo-nesian government has requested us to ignore the so-called invasion on Malaysia, which is total nonsense.

“We should not respond to these threats, nor should we try to retaliate,” he said, urging those involved to stop doing anything that would not bring good to both sides.

Dr Mahathir said this during a question-and-answer session after delivering a talk titled Suntikan Semangat Satria II to Taman Medan Baru residents here yesterday.

The event, organised by Petaling Utama Umno, was held at the Petaling Jaya City Council hall.
