Liow wants to meet Ong to resolve crisis amicably

What say you on the issue below?

KUALA LUMPUR: MCA deputy president Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai, accused of betraying a friend, wants to meet party boss Datuk Seri Ong Tee Keat to find an amicable solution to MCA’s leadership crisis.

He said any solution would have to come from both sides and was awaiting Ong’s response to his request.

He also denied trying to force Ong to quit as president, saying that the latter had already indicated that he would do so.

Other developments yesterday:

> The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission receives a report from the police concerning the allegation that Liow’s wife received a car paid for by a private company;

> Liow lodges report at the Putrajaya police station over the allegation and calls on the authorities to begin investigations; and

> Staunch Ong supporter Datuk Ti Lian Ker wrote in his blog that last week’s central committee meeting was the most fiery, rough and crude meeting the party had ever had.
