The exhibition with the theme, Women of NAM: A Thousand Faces. reflects the rich social and cultural diversity among women of NAM countries.

NIEW is an international institute established by the Malaysian Govern-ment on July 1, 2006 following a decision made at the First NAM Ministerial Meeting on the Advancement of Women held in Putrajaya in May 2005.

NIEW, which functions under the purview of the Women, Family and Community Development Ministry, was set up to promote empowerment of women and achieve gender equality.

The exhibition showcases major issues affecting women in NAM member countries and highlights efforts taken by the governments to empower women.

There will also be stage performances by NAM countries as well as international trade booths where unique products made by women, including handicraft, are on display.
