A festive meal and movie treat for 60 kids

What say you on the issue below?

MORE than 60 young children and their caretakers from the Agathians Shelter and Sri Sai Home for Boys were the special guests at a special charity event hosted by Bandar Raya Developments Berhad (BRDB) at CapSquare Shopping Centre recently in conjunction with the Festival of Lights.

Upon arrival, the children were ushered to the TGV cinemas in the mall for a screening of the new Bollywood blockbuster, Wake Up Sid, courtesy of TGV Cinemas at CapSquare. They were also given popcorn and soft drinks to enjoy while watching the movie.

Food, glorious food: The children helping themselves to the Deepavali feast at Kohinoor Restaurant.

After the show, the youngsters were treated to a sumptuous Deepavali spread at Kohinoor Restaurant.

During dinner, the children and their caretakers were presented with Deepavali money packets and clothes by BRDB head of retail business John Sironic.

Olives Deli Supermarket, CapSquare’s anchor supermarket tenant, also donated RM1,000 worth of groceries.

“We are truly delighted to have all the children here to celebrate this festive season with us.

Movie treat: The children were treated to a Bollywood film at CapSquare’s TGV Cinemas.

“Deepavali is also a month of charity and what better way to share the spirit of giving than with the orphans and the underprivileged?

“It is great to see the children enjoying the fantastic spread we have prepared for them this evening,” Sironic said.

He also hoped that the contribution would help bring some festive joy to the youngsters and urged other corporate entities to do their bit in support of the less fortunate.
