PARTICIPANTS of the Penang Starwalk 2009 can look forward to getting some healthy supplements as well as facial scrub.

“Shaklee is all about promoting healthy activities. We are sponsoring chewable C, zinc and B complex, which will benefit active people.

“The zinc and Vitamin C are very good for athletes with muscle sprains as they are able to recover faster. They are also good for the immune system,” he said.

Participants can also stay fresh and rejuvenated with the Men’s Biore Black & White double scrub.

Kao (M) Sdn Bhd Linda Leong said that the timing was right for them to launch the Men’s Biore Black & White.

“It is a suitable product for the event because of the vigorous activity involved,” said Leong.

“It provides oil control and with the menthol, users’ face will feel fresh up to three hours.

“We hope that people will try the samples as it will be the best time to use the product,” she said.

Penang Starwalk 2009, jointly organised by Star Publications (M) Bhd and the Penang Amateur Athletics Association, will be flagged off from the Penang International Sports Arena at 7am on Dec 13.

It is divided into two categories — competition and non-competition — with both covering a distance of 10km.

The registration fee is RM8 for non-competitive walkers and RM12 for competitive walkers.

Each participant will receive a T-shirt and a goodie bag. Those who complete the walk within two hours will be eligible for a lucky draw.

Registration is open from 9.15am to 5pm on weekdays, except public holidays, at The Star Northern Hub, 202, Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah in Bayan Lepas, Penang, or the newspaper’s George Town office at 15, Jalan Mesjid Kapitan Keling.
