Singer: I did not try to kill myself

What say you on the issue below?

SINGER Farawahida Razali has denied rumours that she tried to kill herself because of emotional stress, reported Harian Metro.

She said she was shocked when some of her friends informed her about the rumour.

“As a Muslim, I would not be so foolish as to attempt suicide because of life’s problems.

“I am still alive and sane,” she said, adding that she was unsure of the motive although she could guess who was behind the rumour.

Farawahida was embroiled in controversy after she refused to renew her contract last year with Millennium Art Sdn Bhd, a company owned by composer Julfekar Ahmad.

The controversy escalated when the singer made three police reports between November last year and July alleging that Julfekar had threatened to distribute indecent photographs and videos of her.

> Kosmo! reported that three politicians were nabbed by the police for using and possessing drugs in Kampung Kijal, Kemaman.

The three men, aged between 41 and 50, were arrested by a team of eight policemen in a house at 3pm on Monday.

State narcotics criminal investigation department chief Supt Roslan Abd Wahid said one of the men tested positive for heroin, while two more were positive for psychotropic drugs (pil kuda).

He said two of them would be investigated under the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 while the man who tested positive for heroin would be investigated under the Drug Dependants (Treatment And Rehabilitation) Act 1983.
