JOHOR BARU: The body of a five-year-old boy who was swept away after falling into a drain in Taman Puteri Wangsa on Friday has been found.
The body of Arfandani Azrin Ismail was discovered at the Sungai Tiram river near Kampung Dagang here at about 1.10pm yesterday.
Fire and Rescue Department operations commander Hamid Suhari said they found the body after a three-day search and rescue mission. “The body was discovered some 20km from where he went missing.
“The body was found on a fallen tree near the river,” he said.
The victim had been playing at a playground in Taman Puteri Wangsa at about 5pm on Friday when he fell into the drain.
