NV Multi Corporation received another feather in its cap when managing director Datuk Kong Hon Kong was lauded as one of the Top 10 Models of Chinese Entrepreneurs in the World at the Fourth Summit of Chinese Entrepreneurs and the World Chinese Venture Model Forum.
The event was organised by the China Enterprises Association, the World Chinese Venture Model Forum Association and the Chinese National Economic Association in Beijing.
More than 20 countries participated in the summit and forum.
The forum was held to recognise the achievement of overseas Chinese entrepreneurs with the objective of encouraging the economic growth of the world’s Chinese entrepreneurs.
It also served as a platform to build closer relationships.
Kong said the recent surge in China’s various sectors would further boost the performance of entrepreneurs around the world.
“We look forward to having more overseas Chinese entrepreneurs working closer with their counterparts in China to spur economic growth in each other’s countries.
“This plays an important and progressive role in consolidating the global status of Chinese entrepreneurs, especially in light of the recent economic downturn,” he said.
He also pointed out that the bereavement care industry was more than just a commercial entity.
“It has on its shoulder a mission to pass on Chinese culture and values to the next generation.
“Back then, it was an unpopular business.
“I was teased by others, ridiculed by relatives but through sheer hard work and thinking out of the box, we created an innovate bereavement care industry,” he said.
NV Multi Corporation was listed on the Main Board of Bursa Malaysia since August 2000.
The company extended its business to Singapore this year and has since received overwhelming response from the market.
