Sharp recognised among Malaysia’s Superbrands

What say you on the issue below?

SHARP was one of the 32 brands that received recognition as a Superbrand at the Malaysia Superbrands Programme VI Tribute Event at KL Hilton recently.

Sharp-Roxy Sales & Service Company (M) Sdn Bhd general manager of CEP sales Tok Sang Man and senior manager of public relations and advertising Mohd Aref Mohd Ali received the award on behalf of Sharp.

The achievement certificates were presented by Domestic Trade, Co-operatives and Consumerism Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

Sharp was given recognition as a Superbrand based on a consumer survey that was conducted online and consisted of a panel in Malaysia of 1,500 consumers. The survey took place between Feb 18 and 26.

Brands participating in Superbrands must be able to demonstrate the three key brand attributes, which are quality, trust and distinction.

The survey showed that Sharp was voted as a Superbrand among the consumers. This happened as a result of the aggressive branding campaign and strong exposure of the Sharp Aquos LCD TV and Plasmacluster technology.

Aquos LCD TV was fabricated with Japan-made LCD panels from Sharp’s world-renowned LCD plant, the Green Front Sakai that produced the 10th generation LCD mother glass substrates. Aquos LCD TV was also the number one LCD TV in Japan for the ninth consecutive year.

Sharp is taking the opportunity to apply the Superbrands “Malaysia’s Choice” logo through the brand’s products and marketing collaterals to create greater awareness among Malaysian consumers.

Sharp is sharing its success through the Superbrands reference book with special custom-made cover. The book explores Sharp’s history, development and achievements in Malaysia.
