13-year-old from Malacca pips Priscilla on countback

LITTLE Devaki Anatha Ganesh was the surprise winner in the women’s category of the Golf Malaysia Aces of Aces championship at the Glenmarie Golf and Country Club in Shah Alam recently.

The 13-year-old Devaki, from Malacca, and Priscilla Yeoh returned with identical 36 points. But after a countback, Devaki was declared the winner. In third place was Agnes Lee with 35 points.

In the men’s Division A, Yew Boon Foo won the crown with 40 points followed by Alex Tan and Soepie Ali. The winner in the men’s Division B was See Kuan Yew with 37 points while the second and third places went to Datuk Zulkiflee Mazlan and George Toh respectively.

Mohammad Abdullah was the winner in the men’s Division C. Mohammad, a 20 handicapper, collected 37 points, one ahead of second place Mohamad Rodzi Sulaiman. In third place was Mior Hashim.

The annual Ace of Aces Championship is open to all registered members of the Golf Malaysia Hole-in-One club.
