Popular cartoon character set to wow the crowd

IF YOU would like to get up close and personal with popular animated character Boboiboy, then head to the Mid Valley Exhibition Centre on Dec 8 from 6pm to 7pm.

Evergreen Publishers will host a meet-the-fans session with the creators and voiceover talents behind the animation series.

Visitors to the event will get to catch previews of upcoming episodes, get Boboiboy’s autograph and get their hands on a brand new stationery items featuring the cartoon characters.

All for one: Evergreen staff, Boboiboy and friends will unleash their superpowers at Mid Valley on Dec 8.

Evergreen Publisher managing director Rachel Poon said the company has bought the rights to use Boboiboy’s image in the stationery items.

The stationery items sold as gift packs feature mechanical pencils, pencil lead, eraser, water bottle, drawing block, pencil bag, activity learning book, calendars and a notebook.

Part of the proceeds from the sale of the gift packs will be channelled to charity.

“We are fulfilling our CSR role by embarking on a fund-raising charity tie-up with World Vision,” said Poon.

“We are delighted to be associated with the popular cartoon character and his friends who use their superpowers to help their family and inspire young viewers in an animated and fun way.

“By putting these characters on stationery items, we hope it will inspire young people to emulate Boboiboy and his friends’ characteristics and energy in upholding family values,” she said.

Evergreen will also be giving away 50 gift bags with Boboiboy’s personalised signature at its booth at the exhibition centre.

Those who would like to purchase these items can enjoy discount up to 10%.

Boboiboy creator Anas said the series was getting more popular by the day and it is currently the number one cartoon on TV3 and one of the top three cartoons on Disney Asia in Malaysia, the Philippines and Singapore.

“We intend to give the public a good time on Dec 8. There will be a sneak preview of clips from the final episodes of this season and we will share what’s in store for Boboiboy and friends in Season 2.

“The public will also learn about a new character and Boboiboy’s new power upgrades.

“We have plans to invite and introduce the voiceover talents to the public as well,” said Anas.
