Group organises treasure hunt and donates proceeds

TREASURE hunt afficianados took part in a hunt organised by the I&P Group recently.

The participants included 44 cars with 24 cars from corporate companies and nine cars representing various media groups.

They were flagged off from one of the group’s sales offices in Bandar Kinrara, Puchong at 8am.

Covering a distance of 135km the participants were required to make pit-stops at seven checkpoints covering the group’s various townships in the Klang Valley which includes Bandar Kinrara, Bandar Baru Seri Petaling, Alam Damai, Alam Sari and Bayuemas.

The last leg of the hunt took the participants to the group’s Alam Impian Gallery in the Alam Impian, Shah Alam township where the participants had to complete their last mission and help themselves to the high-tea spread that had been prepared.

“The objective of the hunt is to create awareness of our various township as well as give back to the community,” said I&P Group Sdn Berhad group managing director Datuk Ir Jamaludin Osman.

“We decided to match the participation fees ringgit-for-ringgit, totalling RM28,640, and donate the amount to five charitable organisation,” said Jamaludin during the prize presentation ceremony.

Jamaludin presented the donations to the five organisations namely Rumah Amal Kasih Bestari Subang, Rumah Anak Yatim Baitul Ehsan, Rumah Silaturrahim Nurul Qanaah, Rumah Kaseh Harmoni and Sekolah Agama Rakyat KAFA Integrasi Al-Insaniah.

Later he presented cash prizes to the treasure hunt winners.

Team ‘2 Sneakies + 2 Innocents’ were the winners in the public category and they took back RM2,500 while team ‘Azam, Baba & Aqmar’ from the corporate category won RM2,000.

The media category winner was ‘Macam-macam TV3’ that clinched the first place, winning RM1,500 in cash.
