Joyful news on Malaysia Day

What say you on the issue below?

IT WAS a glorious day at the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital maternity ward as mothers whose babies were born on Malaysia Day were blessed with a visit from state Health Committee chairman Datuk Dr Mah Hang Soon.

“All the babies were born at full term and are healthy,” Dr Mah said, adding that the first baby was born at 12.54am.

He said it was the first time that the hospital’s board of visitors had organised a visit on Malaysia Day.

“I am extremely happy to see the babies and their mothers,” he added.

The safe arrival of another baby girl was a blessing for 24-year-old Leong Suet Mui.

“I suffered a miscarriage when having my first baby and two years ago, I gave birth to a girl.

“I am extremely grateful to have another baby girl, more so that it coincides with Malaysia Day,” Leong said as she gently cradled her precious infant close to her chest.

Another mother, Hartini Majid, 26, said she was overjoyed that her baby boy was a Malaysia Day baby.

“I never expected him to be born on Sept 16 as the doctor said I was not due until next week,” she said.
