Compuware opens local office

Koh: "As our business is growing, having a proper office seems to be the right way to move forward."

PETALING JAYA: Compuware Malaysia Sdn Bhd has opened its first physical office here to better support its local customers.

The company has been in operation in the country for the past 10 years but its staff were previously "mobile" - they either worked from home or were based on-site at clients' offices.

"As our business is growing, having a proper office seems to be the right way to move forward," said Compuware Malaysia Sdn Bhd managing director Koh Eng Kiong.

He said that while working from home meant a lot of flexibility, it did pose a few problems for the image of the company such as having "less business credibility and trust."

Most customers were concerned that without a proper office, the company would leave the country thus leaving customers with no after-sales support, he said.

Currently, the company has over 50 local corporate customers including financial institutions like Maybank, Bank Rakyat and RHB as well as other companies such as Media Prima, Malaysia Airports and AirAsia.

Koh also said that by having a physical setup, customers now know exactly where to go to find support staff whenever they require any assistance.

Compuware Malaysia is a subsidiary of Michigan-based Compuware Corporation, which has more than 38 years of experience in providing IT software and services worldwide.
