Cheat #1: Use earthy tones such as browns, beiges, and gold for your eyeshadow. Use pink, green and blue only if you really really really love these colours. Eye makeup usually consists of 3 colours- base, medium and dark colour. Limit shimmer to only the medium colour as shimmers tend to make our Asian eye look puffier than they already are. Too much shimmer = extra puffy eyes.
Cheat #2: Don't forget to line your lower lash line. Some brides are afraid that this will make them look fierce or harsh, but the trick is using the right product – powder eyeshadow gives you the most natural effect. When done properly, it will make you look like you had 10 hours sleep the night before, even if you had not.
Cheat #3: Powder up and avoid shimmering powder on your face at all cost! The last thing you want is a shiny face on your wedding day. Photographs are all you have 20 years down the road and no matter how glowy you look in real life on your wedding day, all that remains is a greasy faced bride in photographs. Blot and lightly powder when face gets shiny. Also don't forget to powder the undereye area as this is the area that is most prone to smudgy makeup.
Cheat #4: Use two different blusher shades; one darker shade, and one pink shade. In addition to adding more dimensions to your face, using two different shades gives you the radiant bride look that every bride desires!
Cheat #5: Use creamy lip colours that are easy on the eyes such as nudes or pinks. Creamy formula is preferred as matte formula make you look harsh and adds age. Adding a small dollop of lipgloss to the center of your mouth also adds youthfulness to the already radiant bride.
