WHAT would you do to celebrate 30 years of providing women with fashionable and comfortable shoes? Throw a fabulous party, of course! Princess started the celebration by launching a new collection which culminated in a recent red carpet event at the Empire Hotel in Subang Jaya. It was attended by the likes of local celebrities such as MayJune — a popular TV host and actress, Dina — the Malaysian Idol runner-up, singer Farawahida as well as invited media, fashion buyers, and business associates.
“We’re turning 30 this year and we want to celebrate it with our loyal supporters by introducing a loyalty card. Turning 30 is significant to us and we want to reward customers, media and associates for their loyalty and support. Their loyalty has brought us this far and where we are today,” said Princess Shoes and Handbag Centre CEO Alan Lok.
The event kicked off with a short photo montage of Princess through the years. The first Princess boutique opened in 1981 in Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman and since then, there has been no looking back for the brand.

After the launch of their loyalty card and a short photo opportunity with Princess founder Alice Yong, Lok and celebrities, a fashion showcase of Princess’ latest collection commenced.
Princess’ new collection features bold, loud and extraordinary designs for today’s modern women.
These bold and loud designs include stylish heels, ballerina flats, trendy sandals, and slip-ons in bright pink, gold and black. Apart from that, the new collection also offers stylish shoes that are specifically designed for ladies with deluxe-sized feet.
Flats: Shoes in bold colours and prints to appeal to the young and the young-atheart. “Chic, fashionable designs and striking colours are the attributes of this collection. From flat to high heels, leopard prints to snake skin, there are plenty of stylish and trendy designs for consumers to choose from. There are gladiator wedges, strappy heels and flats in electric blue, pure white, midnight black, and cute pink that are simply chic and gorgeous. These sexy shoes also show off women’s feet in a beautiful way,” explained Lok.
There are five main distinctive shoe lines under Princess — Fashion, Pumps, De Confort, Deluxe, and Viani. Fashion, like its name, features sexy heels as well as simple pumps, with casual and fashionable designs that are suitable for after work activities and weekend leisure. There are also boots, strappy heels and sandals in beige, pure white, midnight black, brown, and pastel grey.
Deluxe showcases fashionable designs like strappy heels in bold and beautiful colours like metallic gold, red and black and flats in faux snake skin in sizes 9 to 13 for deluxe-sized feet women to walk in style and confidence. Pumps cover flats and high heeled court shoes and slingbacks. Princess’ pumps are also available in genuine leather for extra comfort. You can expect peep-toes in light brown, black and faux snake skin with designs that will definitely impress people in the boardroom.
For extra comfort, Princess De Confort features thicker padding neatly stitched together on the outsole to create more edge to these heels. And finally, Viani is for young ladies who are chic and casual. Ballerinas with details such as buckles in colourful spring shades like pink, orange, blue, and red dominate this new collection.
