KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia and Australia began their two-day closed-door meeting here Wednesday to discuss issues related to human smuggling.
The Malaysian delegates, led by Deputy Home Minister Datuk Wira Abu Seman Yusop, also included the ministry's secretary-eneral Datuk Seri Mahmood Adam, Inspector-eneral of Police Tan Sri Musa Hassan and representatives from the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency, the Attorney-eneral's Office, the Malaysian Royal Customs, Defence Ministry and the National Security Council.
The Australian delegation was led by Duncan Lewis, who is the national security adviser to the Australian prime minister.
Home Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein is expected to hold a joint press conference with Lewis on the meeting at 4pm Wednesday.
