1Malaysia stamps its mark

KUALA LUMPUR: Pos Malaysia is issuing a special collection of stamps and first day cover featuring the 1Malaysia theme on Merdeka Day.

"The special collection of Merdeka stamps and First Day Cover will depict images related to the 1Malaysia concept to inspire the sense of pride and appreciation of our nation's accomplishment," said Pos Malaysia head of stamp and philately Yasmin Ramli at a launching ceremony yesterday.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak introduced the 1Malaysia concept based on the principles of "People First, Performance Now".

The stamps are available in 3 designs -- all in 30-sen denomination. Yasmin said the stamps and the First Day Cover would be on sale from Tuesday.
