Surprise treat for the kids

What say you on the issue below?

THE Mines Shopping Fair played its part to bring fun to children during the recent school semester break: it held a colouring contest featuring Australia’s hit children’s television programme and pop music group Hi-5.

To top it all, the kids were treated to a surprise performance by the group. The young fans danced and sang along with the group and later lined up for an autograph and photo shoot session.

Creative endeavour: Children giving their all during the colouring contest.

“I’m happy because I used my imagination and won,” said 12-year-old Oscar Lim, who bagged the grand prize of a Crocs voucher worth RM200 at the event.

The first show of the group’s new tour, Hi-5 Surprise!, was staged at the Arena of Stars in Genting Highlands the weekend before Merdeka Day.

“We were inspired to be part of Hi-5 in different ways but we all share the same love of children. We have kids coming to us and knowing our names; it’s amazing to come to so far a place and have that happening!” said Hi-5 member Stevie.

Jump, jump: Two tots jumping to the beat with Hi-5.

The group interacts with children by making them dance and sing along to upbeat numbers. Their energy and passion moved the children, who were genuinely enjoying themselves partying with the group.

“I love Tim because he is handsome and his hair is crazy,” eight-year-old Danisha Ameera said shyly.
