Constituency to get two new schools

What say you on the issue below?

PORT DICKSON: Bagan Pinang folk have a reason to cheer – they will get a new primary and a secondary school.

The primary school to be built at Taman Intan Perdana in Teluk Kemang by the end of 2011, was planned earlier this year. The two schools will cost about RM40mil to build.

Deputy Prime Minister and Edu- cation Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin attended the ground-breaking ceremony for the RM18mil primary school yesterday.

Residents who attended the ceremony cheered aloud when he announced the more than RM20mil allocation for the secondary school.

Negri Sembilan Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan, in his speech earlier, requested the Government to build another secondary school.

Also present was Tan Sri Isa Samad who was speculated to be the Barisan Nasional candidate for the seat. He was seen greeting the people and shared a private chat with Muhyiddin and Hassan.

Muhyiddin said the primary school at Taman Intan Perdana would help reduce the overcrowding at SK Teluk Kemang.

Muhyiddin said they would look into the request by some Bagan Pinang residents to help improve Tamil schools in the area.

He later presented a RM3.8mil cheque to the state education director to help improve and upgrade schools in the state.
